Clenchers Mill Ford

This is where Jenny spots the smoke from Abby's camp fire at the ford, but by the time Jenny reaches the spot, Abby has gone.

Located between the A438 and the A417 near Ledbury. Approaching from the Lebury direction turn right at Eastnor towards the castle and follow the road for about 2.5 miles until you reach the ford near Clenchers Mill (OS sheet 150 GR SO732349).

 

 

Black Rock 

During the opening sequence a helicopter is seen flying in over the coast. this is actually Black Rock (OS sheet 162 GR ST512880) which is located near Caldicot between the two Severn bridges. To reach Black Rock take the B4245 off the A48 heading for Caldicot, then take the second left, continue to the T juction where you turn  right then left into Black Rock Road.

Sudbrook

The large buiding near the Severn bridge and the pylon which the helicopter also flies over are located at nearby Sudbrook (OS sheet 162 GR ST503875). To reach Sudbrook, instead of turning left into Black Rock Road, take the next left to Sudbrook.

Lydney                                                                                                                Tom Price loots a clothing shop, and is seen by Jenny who asks him to take her with him. Tom refuses so Jenny spends the night in the shop. The next morning Jenny sees Gregs car outside the chemist. These scenes all took place in Newerne Street Lydney ( OS sheet 150 GR SO635032). the clothing shop is now a charity shop, and the chemist is now a flower shop

Harewood End.                                                                                                                                                  The church where The church where Greg and Jenny first meet up with Abby is located in Harewood Park near Harewood End. The church is on private land, but can be seen from a Public Footpath which runs alongside. To find the entrance to the footpath leave Harewood End on the A49 heading towards Hereford, directly opposite the first turning on the left is the footpath (OS sheet 162 GR SO524275) . Unfortunately there is no easy place to park, but if you have a small car you may just be able to park in front of the boulders at the entrance to the footpath, be very careful as this entrance is on a bend. Continue along the footpath (which soon becomes a tarmac track) until you reach some buildings on your right. Bear left here and continue a short distance, and you will soon see the church on your left.
